Prolouge

  It was raining and foggy outside. Snowy, a spoiled little housecat with sparkling blue eyes and a shiny white pelt, stared out the window into the endless rain.  Why can't the weather be as perfect as me? Oh, and he also thinks he's so perfect. And with that, Snowy sauntered into his human's bed, curled up, and fell into a deep sleep.





Chapter 1: Forest Revealed

   When Snowy awoke, he was in the forest! "Where am I?!" Snowy shrieked in fear. "Where is my breakfast service? Hello?" The trees were emerald green, and there were fall leaves on the ground in bright, vibrant colors. The blue sky was as crystal-clear as a sparkiling river, and the sounds were like nothing Snowy had ever heard. He got up, and explored bravely. "Woww......" he said.  Then there was a new sound. A rustling, and heavy, terrifying breathing. "Hello? Is anyone th-"  All of the sudden, Snowy was pounced on, astonishing him. "Hey!! Get off me, you jerk!" he yelled at the possibly 15 pounds on top of him. "Come with us!" said a deep voice out in the distance. Then, Snowy passed out, and was dragged someplace far away.

Chapter 2: Winter In Fall

 "Wake up... Wake up....Wake up!!" said a soft voice near Snowy. "Huhh.....?" said Snowy, confused. When he awakened from passing out, he saw a beautiful white and black cat with lovely almond brown eyes. "Hi.," she said," You're in the Lightning Cave. This is our home. You can become one of-" but she never got to finish. Snowy inturrupted with," Wait! You're planning to keep me? Here? This isn't my home! I cannot stay here!!" he shrieked. "But you must. We are far away from the Emerald Forest you were uncovered in. You must stay!" Snowy had no idea how this beautiful she-cat stayed calm. "Well, let me introduce myself. My name is Winter, and what should I call you?" Snowy answered with a grumpy,"Snowy."  He looked around, and said," Can you show me around?" Snowy felt weird about this place. Like he was strangely... connected somehow. "Sure." said the goregeous cat. "This is where you'll be sleeping. I sleep with you, as your den mate." This made Snowy's heart beat slightly faster. At least he was sleeping with Winter! " The other rooms are dens for all the others, and this is the  main room." As she said that, she guided Snowy into the main room. "It's where the leader announces every important event. And this," she looked at Snowy," is the Healing Room. Cats go inside for curing injuries, diaseses, and countless other things. All right, that's basically it.  I'll tell you more after we catnap." Snowy replied," Catnap? Some odd phrase?"
"Sleep." she whispered. The two of them catnapped until morning.

Chapter 3: Job Destiny

Snowy was up as at the crack of dawn. Unfortunatley, the cats were up even before him! Snowy arose from his bed to find Winter waiting at the door. "What are you doing here?" he exclaimed. Winter answered in a split second," Well, sleepy head, it's time to pick your warrior duties! You see, when we get an outlaw who is old enough to fight or hunt, we let them pick jobs. I'm sure you'll make a fine hunter, fighter, or cave guard..." she said, with gleaming eyes. "Everyone here is proud to be what they are. By the way, I'm all. You see, I was once an outlaw, and, back then, we were in need of all. Now we are even more deprived of hunters, fighters, and guards. I wouldn't be suprised if you got all the jobs just like me. That would be enjoable, huh?" she asked. "Uh-huh" Snowy said. "All cats more elderly than their 20th changing moon, gather in the Main Room!" A loud cat said. "That must be the leader, Claw. Don't worry, he's 100 times nicer than he sounds! Well, I'll meet you there!" and Winter took off like a racehorse almost to the finish line. Then, Snowy calmly walked into the Main Room, with his job destiny awaiting!

Chapter 4: Greetings and Meetings

 When Snowy walked in, he was warmly greeted from a crowd of cave cats and the leader, Claw. Snowy felt at home here. He experienced a rush of happiness, thinking that this would be his new home. "Welcome Snowy!" said the same deep voice Snowy heard in the Emerald Forest. "You may reconize my voice, and I know you think of the scene in the Emerald Forest we had. I am sorry, but you were in a treacherous traitor's danger. You see Snowy, along time ago, we had a fighter named Scratch. He was very heavy, and a very sudden attacker. He pounced on you,, all 15 pounds of that heavy cat, and knocked you out. Luckily, we were hunting, so when we saw you, we quickly took you to are cave. But, anyway, you are here so we can tutor you about your three jobs. Winter is your denmate, so she can teach you everything that's vital. So, if you know what I'm talking about, you get to do all the jobs!" A variety of cats cheered and all the others shouted "Snowy! Snowy!" happy of his arrival and happy for some new help. "You'll start training tommorow. Good luck Snowy! For now, why don't you get to know everyone." Claw exclaimed. Then Snowy met the trainers, the younger cats that are in training. "Hiya Snowy! I'm Leaf! I'm training to become a hunter! I like voles! My parents are Claw and Tree! My best friend is Twig. I really like doing-" And the girl cat blabbered on. Winter apeared as if out of nowhere. She said,"Well, you already know me, but let me show you the other hunters, fighters, and cave guards! That lovely brown cat over there," She pointed to a lovely brown she-cat," is Tree, Claw's mate, and one of my greatest friends. There's Flower, the cream-colored she-cat, and Claw, of course, the black tom, is our leader. But he's still a warrior. The gray tom is Rock, and the silver she-cat is River. Then their are the warriors in training, Twig, Berry, and Fall. Then the she-cats, Leaf, Bird, and Mouse! So, now you know our little cave, so why don't I show you our outside territory?" and with that, she led him outside.

Chapter 5: First Hunt and Exploring Outside

 When Swowy stepped outside an array of objects met his eye. There was a pond of glittering water, there were numerous trees, and immense tower of cat prey. Snowy pinpointed delcious voles, mouthwatering mice, delectable fish, and many other tasty small pieces of prey Snowy could no take his eyes off. "That's the cat prey pile. When the hunters bring back food, it all goes here for us to share. That pond we call Luck Pond. It's said to bring good luck to the cave I've heard.. but some cats just say it's a myth. That place," Winter pointed to a welcoming little place that Snowy didn't see earlier," is the special place we have for young kittens and their mothers. We ensure that they are incredibly contented here. Shall we hunt, Snowy?" Snowy and his rumbling stomach nodded in agreement. "Then let me instruct you on how to fish. Considering it's much more difficult than you most likely assume. So," she led him to the Luck Pond," this is where we fish. Most cats believe at first glance to just scoop out a fish, but that will terrify them. You must confirm your shadow isn't hovering over the pond, or else they'll see you. Now be swift and seize the fish." And that was Snowy first caught prey, ever. Snowy was starting to enjoy this place, more and more every subsequent activity.

Chapter 6: Favorite Season....? Maybe.

 "Would you enjoy eating your first piece of prey? You must be experiencing pride to the greatest extent." But even though Snowy's stomach boomed louder than an a thunderous waterfall and that fishy smell was tantalizing, his urge to be polite to the white and black she-cat was tremendously stronger. So he replied,"Um, no thanks. You can have it. I'll just go and enjoy an alternative piece of prey." He loved the fish, but Winter's giant heart-melting smile following Snowy's reply was now exceeding worth it. Snowy sauntered over to the cat prey pile and found a juicy blackbird that made his mouth water. Here was where he first spoke to Rock, a handsome tom with different shades of gray fur. "Hey Snowy." he said with a cool, smooth voice. " We're going hunting for prey tommorow, so I guess it's your first patrol. Flower, Tree, Leaf, Berry and I are coming. And Winter." he said in a friendly but fairly teasing-like voice. "Why do you say it like that?" Snowy said in an angry and annoyed voice. "Oh come on Snowy, it's obvious you enjoy being around her. And she might just like you back, I believe. Well anyway, are coming hunting with us?" he said in a friendly tone. "Yes!" Snowy said, with relief of changing the topic.
